No, my reply of "Does it matter." is a question of someone's motives for asking. My response to something like that is always going to be "What does it matter?" Does it change the fact that they are a hapa? Does it diminish/elevate their worth or change how you view them as a person? The question was about a person's parents racial makeup and about which side they get their last name from. Nor am I going to just pretend that every person that posts in this sub is all sunshine and innocence. I am not going to assume anything definite. If you can go around asking questions and questioning someone's race and ethnicity, then you should be able to handle someone questioning you about it.Īlso, I don't read deeper into a post than what is there.
